And I can't imagine a better choice, as Christa Faust reports on her blog that her new novel, MONEY SHOT, has been sold to HCC and is scheduled for release in February 2008. "Everyone who reads this blog knows Hard Case is like my ultimate dream date," she said. "I still can’t quite wrap my brain around the idea that one of my books will be underneath one of those knockout covers. Never mind the fact that I’ll be on the same shelf as Shell Scott creator Richard S. Prather. Excuse me while I do a really embarrassing little dance."
The artwork for the book's cover will be done by Glen Orbik, responsible for that lovely art adorning the cover of Stephen King's THE COLORADO KID. And I, for one, cannot wait to read Faust's book.
This is really great news - HOODTOWN kicks all sorts of arse, and MONEY SHOT I'm sure will do the same.

I'll second Mr. Banks on this one. Been paying attention to Christa's writing since our paths first crossed in the early nineties, and I think Hard Case made a very very good move here. . . .

Personally, I'm glad that Hard Case is going with anything that's badass...I'm always up for Guthrie and Starr and the like on Hard Case. The fact that Christa Faust is gonna be on the horizon for Hard Case guarantees badassness.
