I was very sorry to see this news. He was in poor health for some time, and of course he was over 90 -- no one could say he was taken from us at an unfairly young age. But it's still a shame to lose one of the few remaining writers from the Gold Medal era. I'm glad he got to see one of his books back in print in '07.
