With an endearing heroine who is headstrong but not feisty (thank god), picture-perfect wartime New York setting and a twisty plot with lots of surprises, what more could you possibly want in a mystery novel? Scoppettone was writing great crime novels before many of us even paid attention, and THIS DAME showcases just how good she is at this racket. Look for this in late June.
