Mike Garrity thought he was done with police work, especially when a malignant brain tumor (affectionately titled "Bob") cuts his life expectancy to the months. But a chance encounter revives his investigative skills so that he's looking for a missing boyband member with the help of his teenage daughter Jennifer, reluctantly visiting for the summer. Cavanagh creates likeable characters you want to see in future installments and a plot that comes up with a surprise or two. And if a second book is in the offing, What About Bob?
