RELENTLESS PURSUIT, by Kevin Flynn

(originally posted on February 14, 2007)

It's tricky to characterize what this book is exactly: part legal thriller, part true crime novel, part memoir, part account of a city at a particular place and time - but Flynn's devotion and single-minded determination to resolve the horrific murders of a mother and daughter in Washington shine throughout the entire book. He doesn't let the reader forget that those who die brutally had vibrant lives beforehand, and that black and white aren't appropriate designations in a world of gray.
